Gas Fires:
Are a convenient way of having a living flame fire without the need
to fetch and carry fuel, set the fire or clear away ash.  It provides a homely, warm focal point to a room, where family and friends can gather. Gas fires can be fitted using natural mains gas or LPG
(Liquid Petroleum Gas).  Whether or not you have an existing
chimney / flue there are ways of fitting a gas fire for example to an outside wall with a power flue or balanced flue (see below).  As
most of our gas fires now come with the option of a remote control
this eliminates the need to kneel to light the fire.

Electric Fires:
Are an excellent way of creating warmth and coziness. Electric fires
are an ideal alternative to a gas fire as they eliminate the cost of
gas fire installation / maintenance and the need to consider flue
and gas connection constraints.  Most electric fires have a flame
effect which will work independently of the heat so you can enjoy
the coziness of the flames on those dark but mild spring and
autumn evenings.

Solid Fuel / Multi-fuel:
Nothing compares to the smell and crackling sound of a real open
fire and the snug ambience it creates.  Solid fuel fires can take
many forms from simple baskets to stoves which can provide
central heating and hot water.  All solid fuel fires require a
conventional (class 1) chimney to operate.

Hole in the wall:
Fires are a modern way of creating a stunning centre piece for your living room. Hole in the wall fires can be gas or electric and come in
a variety of sizes and styles. You can choose from driftwood, pebbles, coal or logs for the fuel beds.  Hole in the wall fires can be fitted into existing chimneys, with power flues or balance flues (see below).

Baskets:
Fires are one of the most versatile types of fire. Baskets can be contemporary, period, classic or traditional. Available with gas (pebbles or coals), solid fuel or electric with effect and heat. Solid fuel and gas fire baskets do require a conventional chimney (class 1).

Power Flue (Gas):
Is great solution where no chimney or flue is available. A quiet but powerful fan situated on an outside wall expels the flue gases from the fire. The main advantage of a power flue over a balanced flue is an open fronted fire can be installed as opposed to a glass fronted.  Mains electricity is required.

Balance Flue (Gas):
Like the Power flue is ideal where no chimney or flue is available. The fire vents directly outside through a horizontal twin wall pipe. These fires are glass fronted. No mains electricity is required.
